"From the moment we joined the Holy Family community, we have been impressed by the school's commitment to our children’s development and the nurturing of a strong, faithful community spirit. "

School Council

Every Autumn Term, School Council organise an election for the new class representatives. Candidates prepare an election speech and present this to their class. They have voting slips and they vote for the classmate they think would do the best job of representing their class. The person that has the majority of votes becomes part of the new generation of the school council. All of the class representatives get together at lunchtimes each week to discuss the ideas they have to further improve school.

Our achievements so far include:

The Poppy Appeal: Every morning before school for a whole week we had a store set up. We sold poppies, slapbands, key chains and more. We were able to raise a lot of money to help the Poppy Appeal charity.

The Christmas Fair: We had a stall at the Christmas Fair. We sold bags of surprises, and helped the PTA raise lots of money for our school.

This half term we are planning Friendship Week. We will hold Key Stage Assemblies and make sure all children know what is happening during the week and why.
